fiza Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 (edited) We are still on Office 2010 Pro Plus here but are looking to move to 2013 over the summer. We are not interested in Office365 or Onedrive etc. so which version of Office 2013 is recommended? Should it be Office Standard or Pro Plus? Edited May 8, 2015 by fiza
sparkeh Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Which office applications do you need? What licencing model are you using?
fiza Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 Which office applications do you need? What licencing model are you using? We need Word, Excel, Powerpoint, outlook. Not sure on Access anymore but will check with the IT teachers. We are on EES
sparkeh Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Ah ok I see, well I take the approach of using the install source for Pro Plus, using the OCT to tailor the installation to the applications that are needed. If anyone comes to me wanting something else its dead easy to push out the software. If you start with Standard and someone wants Access then you have to faff around with the Pro Plus source. 1
Arthur Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 (edited) We are on EES In that case I would choose ProPlus and just customize the installation to exclude any apps you don't need. Does your EES include MDOP? There's an App-V version of Office 2013 Pro Plus which gets updated each month and means your client PCs won't have to install GBs of Office updates every Patch Tuesday.
