Suppressors have very little effect on AEGs other than just making them look better, I'm getting one purely for cosmetic purposes.

Not much noise to suppress in the first place.. From my experience they do literally nothing to the noise, the 'noise' on AEGs is the gearbox engaging - they extend the barrel making the BBs a bit more accurate though.

Got a couple quid set aside for an RIF + accessories. However the only thing i'm wondering is how many batteries should i buy and how long will one of them last? @Arreks sure you could point me in the right direction
Arreks Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I've got two batteries for my main AEG, both LiPo - they're more expensive and may not have as much capacity as other batteries but they don't seem to 'lose their charge' which a few of my old bog-standard ones did. I've got two just for worst-case scenario, but I've never actually needed to swap them out during a game - a single 1300mAh 11v LiPo keeps my gun going all game somehow. The things to take into account are voltage and mAh (milliamp hours); the higher the voltage, the faster the AEG will fire (generally). The higher the milliamp hours, the more overall 'charge' the battery has. Ideally you want the mAh as high as possible. 1

I was told to cycle the batteries i have (9.6 V 1600 mah NiMH) 2-3 times before they'd be working fully. However there aren't really any super clear instructions on the smart charger of what to do I tried using the cycle setting but after it says it's done dischargig it charges, puts about 60 amps into the batterey and says it's full? is that right, or am i just being stupid? xD - the first time i charged it at like 1.6 A and it got up to like 1503 or something. Or providing more material for the BB to knock against as it flies down the barrel, overall lowering your accuracy and causing your BB to fall short of your target Only just seen this, but depending on the gun you usually have to buy a new (longer) barrel so that doesn't happen! 1
