New phone to existing iTunes Library

Just been given my daughters iPhone 4 so essentially I can have a bigger iPod as run out of space on my old iPod. I have itunes set up on my computer which my existing iPod syncs to but I now want all my music on my 'new' iPhone. Connected it to PC and it backed it up and when I click sync it does nothing (says its doing something). Read somewhere I cant do it....but.. Can I?

All the music is in itunes on the computer I assume? It shouldn't be a problem. Create a playlist with all the music you want in it.

 

Sync the playlist onto the phone.

You will need to go to the music tab for your phone to select the playlist to sync. I won't be back near my PC for a few days, so can't look at it to remember the where it is exactly on the current version of itunes. Hopefully it is obvious!
