JonR Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Hi everyone. Has anyone come across this error in SIMS :-"The file C:\Users\000813364\Documents\My SIMS Documents\USER PROFILE\uk-english-v3-whole.dict' already exists. : System.IO.IOException." This shows up when trying to take registers and also when trying to get into Assessment.I have been waiting for SIMS support to get back to me about this. I have tried the KB107167 2108-9128-6300 from SIMS My Account but that doesnt work. Any ideas please. Thanks
harryeds Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 (edited) Sorry to resurrect a 10-year-old post - did you ever manage to sort this @JonR? Thanks Harry Edited May 8, 2025 by harryeds
Boredguy Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 Have you tried renaming the uk-english-v3 file and relaunching SIMS? Normally anything in the "My SIMS Documents" can be removed and it will recreate the important files when you login to SIMS. The rest of the files are just temporary ones that it doesn't clean up if you've accessed linked documents/reports etc.
harryeds Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 Thanks for getting back to me @Boredguy. I have tried that but am still getting the same error - the fault message refers to copying the file to My SIMS Documents and the message in the bottom left refers to uploading the same file to the DMS, which seems to be working OK. Any further ideas gratefully received!
