Using ScratchGPIO6 (or 6plus, 7, or 7plus) ANY sound command I insert into a Sprite causes the screen to jump to the picture of the large red raspberry as soon as it "sees" the command. It will also jump there if I just click on any sound command.

I use the audio output to my stereo speakers (through a sound mixer) because I can't get the HDMI cable (connected to the TV) to produce any sound, even after using raspi-config to tell it to.

When I use Scratch 1.4, there is no problem with sound commands; they work fine, so the crash problem is peculiar to the GPIO versions of Scratch. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I'm a rank beginner, having discovered RasPi only weeks ago.

Sure! Here it is:

To use sound with ScratchGPIO, you currently need to run the "old" version of Scratch

Load ScratchGPIO

Once loaded - close it,

Run LX Terminal

type /usr/bin/scratch.old

When Scratch re-opens

File Open and select rsc
