I have an Optoma ES551 projector that when it is powered on the screen is slightly blurry. After 10 or so minutes the screen becomes clear and in focus. Obviously as we all know, the cost of a new bulb is not as cheap as we'd like. Therefore, would anyone know if this is more likely to be a fault with the projector, or whether a new bulb would cure this problem before I commit to the cost of either a new bulb or projector.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know the model, but projectors are fairly clever these days and lamp errors cause a forced shut down, so sounds like a faulty lens or focus ring.

being an entry model I doubt it came with a de/re warranty, which always for schools we would recommend, but contact Optoma support for help.
