Class set tablet option, what would you recommend?

Morning all,

 

We currently have 16 iPad 2's in a Leba carry case (looks like a flight case with foam inserts). I've been asked to investigate more tablets and different options as they want more but not pay top dollar (there's a surprise).

 

No word on budget, usage or why they actually want them they just want to know whats out there and for how much. Not wanting to spend an age looking up and comparing spec's as we all know how these things play out.

 

The current set of iPads are managed via the techies Mac with Apple Configurator, windows 2008 R2 domain with full wireless coverage by Meru.

 

Just curious what everyone else is running and how really.

I want some LearnPads with wireless charging! FIT. Get a demo if you haven't seen them before. Well worth a look.

 

Currently we have 2 sets of 24 iPad minis and they seem to be used only be certain members of staff... but everyone is warming to them and using them for a variety of subjects.

I have seen them but not with the wireless charging, sounds smart! I've noticed that only a few people use them even though they can save to a network drive using webdav and all the apps been purchased for them. Oh well.

We've just taken delivery of several class sets of Learnpads. We started charging 8 using the wireless system, and its taken 20 hours and they are not fully charged yet.

Has anyone else experienced the same?

Make sure all the cases are on correctly. Make sure they are learnpad side down and not keyboard side down.

 

None of that works... give the company a call. You might have a dodgy charging station.
