withnoice Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Hi all, I'm looking at new digital signage solution for our school. Narrowed it down to Rise Vision or Xibo. I have bought a chrome box and been testing the idea of using Rise Vision and have found it to be ok all round. I have found with testing xibo great to have all on site on a dedicated server but the design and templates with xibo not as good as rise vision. If I went with Xibo I would use old laptops instead of buying chrome boxes so would save money there. Ultimately though I need something that once setup runs smoothly and looks good. Does anyone have any preference over the two or current experience of them in which choice I should go for?
Olliekai Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 I'm hoping to use Rise Vision with some Raspberry Pi's. I think its the best solution in terms of space, currently we have an ethernet trailing all the way back to the server room.
Homer Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 I'm going down the Xibo route, I'm coming to the end of a 3yr term on Signagelive and it's given me the hump a few times... and it's not cheap. So, I've used some of the left over capital to buy a bunch of Intel compute sticks and it works a treat!
