DGardiner Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 So I've been sat thinking about this again as i would like to put GAFE to full use but drive is not convenient enough in a browser for normal work, and the drive apps lacking of support for roaming profiles means it a pain for staff and has to sync every time you log into a new pc... Has anyone tried creating an NTFS junction/symlink to make the localappdata folders redirect to the home drive for example so they can roam? I'm going to do some messing around, just wanted to see if anyone else had some experience or input on this
Marc_EduTech Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Hi @DGardiner, We're currently utilizing SyncDocs (Syncdocs is Google Drive sync and backup with multiple accounts and end-to-end encryption) across our network, which appears to be working just fine for this process. Still requires synchronization, but the process is pretty quick. Potentially worth taking a look at, although I know it doesn't answer exactly what you're after. Marc_EduTech
