Additional SIMS Databases

We have a school with a fairly large Nursery and they'd like to have an "additional" SIMS Database in place purely for recording this specific group of children, keeping them separate from the main school and which would also give them the ability to then CTF those children joining the main school.

 

What are the implications in doing this? Am thinking from a licence point of view rather than a technical one.

Check with your support team. I would imagine you're only allowed one install with your licence. Adding another setup, which would effectively be like running another school would need an extra licence, not to mention extra support between the two.

What benefits do you foresee with splitting them in this way? Why can't they be recorded in the main database under their own year group?
