Shared File Permissions

Hello

 

This is probably quite a basic question for anybody who knows but I am wondering which permissions should be set at which level to enable multiple staff to edit one document.

 

For example a document inside a folder on a shared drive...are permissions set on the file, folder or drive?

 

Obviously I know the security group that teaching staff belong to.

Resolved-On the folder with the files to be edited in remove inheritable permissions, apply modify rights for the correct security group and replace permission entries
