Disabling spelling, punctuation and grammar in Word etc.

Hi

Does anyone know if there is a way of disabling spelling, punctuation and grammar in Word etc? Some teachers have asked that it be turned off as kids are just using it rather than learning the proper way.

Is it likely that I would have to turn it off across the whole network? Office 2013 is installed on all PCs thro' group policy.

Would making them use WordPad be easier? Its what we do for Exams for the same reason.

We also use Wordpad for exams.

The problem with Wordpad is its ok if they're just doing a bit of typing but if its project work etc, with pictures and wordart its not really up to it.

Do you have the office 2013 admx templates in your policy store? There should be options in there to control spell check.

For step one I would copy the latest Office 2013 Group Policy templates to your central store if you haven't already done so. i.e. \\YourDomain\sysvol\YourDomain\Policies\PolicyDefinitions
