CHR1S Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I have a sole windows 8.1 laptop that for whatever reason wants to automatically synchronize a users home directory. Now in any other situation I wouldn't be bothered but this user had Gb's of photo evidence. So I am attempting to map a subfolder of the H: drive as a separate drive to make available offline. I can turn offline files off and on, but can never stop the H: drive from syncing and need a fresh mind to point out the obvious error I'm committing here! Thanks all
woreilly Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 What about the GPO setting "Prohibit ‘Make Available Offline’ for these files and folders". Could you not put H:\ into this? or Do not automatically make redirected folders available offline ? 1
CHR1S Posted March 19, 2015 Author Posted March 19, 2015 Do not automatically make redirected folders available offline ? Couldnt see the forest for the trees... Folder redirection settings NOT offline files Thank you @woreilly, testing now
CHR1S Posted March 24, 2015 Author Posted March 24, 2015 Still get "always available offline" checked and greyed out automatically. I have removed the laptop from the domain, put it in a OU of its own with inheritance blocked. GPO sets Offline files to user controlled, GPO sets Do not automatically make redirected folders available offline to enabled and the whole H: drive is done automatically again. Grrr!
