So any beta backers with an update on this? Whats pvp like? Quests? Instancing (if any) ?

How does it differentiate from the horrific ESO start?

Well I played beta and now I've been playing for a few weeks and I've got like.. nearly a week play time. So here are my thoughts:

PVP

Never played it during the beta, didn't get to lvl 10 so didn't have a chance to try it - it's a very large open PVP environment, laying siege to a keep/fort is awesome but you can also do PVE which is quite cool because you're in Cyrodiil! It can get repetitive but I'm yet to find a game without repetitive PVP - it's all scaled so it's not as horrific as you'd think in terms of fairness.

Quests

They're surprisingly good, better than in the beta. It doesn't feel like you're grinding because it can get very immersive (especially if you're inside and in first person). It's still obviously the same grind as every other MMO but it doesn't feel as heavy (until you get to veteran levels).

Haven't noticed instancing really.

It's definitely a lot better than the beta tbh, if you're a huge Elder Scrolls fanboy (like me) it will be hard to notice the good things about it until you've put a few hours in. Unless you're REALLY appealed by it then I wouldn't get it yet, because it's a lot of money for something you may not enjoy at all.

Had the game from beta, and played it for a few months from release, pvp and pve. Was never so disappointed by an mmo in my life.

Re-downloading now. See how it goes. If it's bad.... I'm paying you a visit xD

Got 700 crowns in my account, what the hell are they? I don't remember these. lol

Crowns are the 'currency' for the store, atm there's only cosmetic things in there so hopefully it stays that way.

You get 700 to start with I assume, I think I got 700 as well.

But yeah the beta was really shoddy, I've slowed down my playing now as I'm playing Rust again but I'm definitely still enjoying ESO. :)

I got 700 too, cosmetic armour (just skins over the top, like disguises) some buffed potions that heal and give a tiny buff, horse skins.. pretty much it.

Not even sure if I had any crowns when logging in, I never bought a sub.

Been meaning to play this more, it was quite fun but watching BSG and playing Cities has eaten my time. Not sure what to do with my Khajiit mage though!

I started from scratch with a new char. Felt like relearning in a fresh area.

Fun thing to keep an eye on - there are now two starting areas per faction.

It used to just dump you on a starter island / in a starter area.. now you start in the main town for that faction in the first area. You can still go to the starter area, in fact, your main quest will tell you to, but you can completely ignore that and you'll be fine.

If you do the starter zone, you'll end up being about level 7 by the time you finish, and a little bit powerful for the first few missions back in the main town.. that'll wear off soon enough though.

I post my afternoon to this today. Haha. And I've murdered about 40 people...and have paid off a lot of bounty. Also got a lot of stuff laundered too...quite liking the new system. I feel it covers what was missing when I left it.

Still playing on Xbox One. I’m now playing the Orsinium add-on. It is gorgeous, a very well designed add-on with great new world bosses that actually feel like world bosses, you are not going to be soloing these.

I’m in DC/Eu with a good guild, I’m loving the social aspect of this game there is always something to do or somewhere to explore, I really cant see myself playing anything else for quite a while.

Sort of sounds like how WoW has handled level 100-110

Could be a decent way of getting newbies on with their more experienced friends, but then also the world pvp might mean you're getting ganked basically everywhere just by people leveling up.

actually bought this game a while ago and i've still yet to level past about 7. Might finally give it a go.
