Just took delivery of our first Mac

Been having a play as you do had a bit of trouble finding the # key but got there eventally

 

I've mamaged to authenticate with AD, My question is how do you lock the thing down? do you need a Open Directory Server? or is it possible some other way?

Yes you do need a open directory server or there are some 3rd party software which can do the same as a OD server i think mac administrator is one of them.
