PotNoodleTech Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Hey yoooo guyyyys!!! Anyone have any experience with using an external hosting company to host your moodle? I guess we've got two options, either pay company to do it all, or host our own amazon AWS / Microsoft Azure web server and set it up ourselves? If anyone has any experience with the above or tips please let me know! Many Thanks A.
overnetdata_reeza Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Hi AButters, are there any particular reasons why you are looking to host your Moodle VLE externally?
ellsandell Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 You could host it onsite? Would be much cheaper than externally hosting, if your infrastructure can handle it. (as long as your internet is good enough that is...)
wiseoldowl Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 If you're looking for an external hosting service backed up by experience, you could have a chat with the guys at LUNS – Lancaster University Network Services | E-Learning. Talk to Paul Verrall or Miles Burke. They've handled hosting for a number of our clients and always proved themselves up to the task for schools and academies. 1
