In my on-going hunt for a way to easily removed stored user profiles at either log off or shutdown (scheduled tasks, scripts etc) I've only now come around to realising that I can actually achieve this through GP in Windows 7/ Server 2008 R2. I have enabled the 'Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - System - User Profiles' and have set it to delete user profiles older than 7 days on system restart. I have also set it to not log on with temporary profiles - also this is to address a different issue.

Does anyone have any experience with using this policy to remove old roaming profiles from local machines? Do I need to also enable the 'Delete cached copies of roaming profiles'? Have followed the solution from here.

Thanks in advance
