MIS access -RM CC4 network

Hi there, we currently work in a school and we get support from local borough for sims. Just want to know what access have you given them? did you create a user in RMMC. They would need probably admin rights but just cannot get the right permission set via RMMC. . An issue im having they need to create a mapped drive!

 

Any thoughts be great

I'm not sure why you need to give them an account on your system. If we need support from Capita (LEA and SupportNet) we generally set up a remote session for them on the SIMS server and they can do what they need there.

hi there, cheers for replying. The support we get from the borough, they have always had remote access most of the time, so if they need to remote in, either for training or technical they can gain access without us needed to initiate the remote session. Are you an RM network?

You can grant them unattended access if they use Logmein, and give them a LAsuppoort account (local admin rights) on the SIMS server

Yes we are. Unattended access is an option but unless you have lots of issues with SIMS, I don't really see why they would need it. I much prefer to give access as and when its needed even if its not quite as convenient!
