cheekycharly Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Hi I have a client who is a one man band registered business who is wanting to get his mail on his Iphone laptop see his calendar and contacts and everything to be in sync all the time no matter which device he edits things from. He currently has his domain through a 1and1 mailbox using IMAP but doesn't have any calendar sync like he would if he had his own server with exchange on. Can anyone tell me what the most simple solution for him is i.e. exchange online or something else and something that is dead easy for him to maintain so that everything works fluently. Cheers all and thanks in advance for any ideas and input - great forum. CC
elsiegee40 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 It's probably simplest to sync everything with Google. Gmail can send and receive from his current email address and Google calendars will sort out the calendar issue. It's how I dealt with this issue for our SLT when we were using RM EasyMail ... it made life so much simpler.
cheekycharly Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 I will try a test setup using my email address I think this weekend. Can this all sync with the iPhone's calendar then or does it need a Google App?
MatthewL Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 What does he use on his laptop? What I do is use outlook on my computer but sync it all to Google on my iPad and S4 using this piece of software. It does the full lot, calendar and contacts from my Outlook.
elsiegee40 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 You use the iphone default apps with the google account. I prefer gmail app to the default phone app, but that's my choice. Other members of my family are using the iphone mail app without a problem.
