Could someone test a link for me?

I've got a teacher complaining that this doesn't work in school: BBC News Player

 

They said it worked at home last night, but I'm struggling to get it to work at all. I've tried through Chrome using the VLC Web Plugin but it just sits there with the traffic cone icon. Through IE windows media player says connecting for a second then nothing happens. Would anyone be kind enough to give it a quick test to see if it works for you? Would be very much appreciated

Ah, interesting - thank-you for that. I wonder if the beeb have removed the video file itself.

A quick test (chrome, firefox, ie9) - it doesn't work for me!

FireFox, Using VLC plugin or standalone on unfiltered doesn't work.

IE using WMP plugin or standalone on filtered doesn't work

URL direct (ASX etc) in WinAmp etc doesn't work either

If you hit launch in standalone player in firefox, it gives you a download of the video i think.

Can't get it to play in browser though...

Thank-you everyone - I think it's safe to say it's not my end then, it's a problem with the video! It's a very old link anyway so it wouldn't surprise me if it's been removed from the BBCs servers but the holding page is still in place.
