Offline file sync partially completed?

I don't recall the exact error message as the member of still still requires use of the tablet. I've said I'll come and collect it when I have an idea of where to go.

 

There are no conflicts, that was the first thing I checked.

 

Staff member comes to us last week, says her files aren't syncing. The icon at the bottom of the folder says it hadn't synced for a week or so. Ran the sync manually, 'Partially completed' (or something to the tune of). Sync progress bar was full, but yellow. Eventually set up a new sync schedule to sync on every event, and that worked fine. This week she comes back with similar issue. Won't sync again. Sync schedule is still there. Bar is now red. Says Partially completed again.

 

Google-fu is failing me, and I couldn't find any info on the tablet itself as to why it had only partially completed. Halp She uses it amongst other things to take time notes on important meetings etc, so it's a bit on the important side.

We have been experiencing the same issue and I have noticed a few things. If the user has two workstations (example being our teachers have a classroom desktop and a laptop for PPA time) if the teacher logs into the desktop and switches user or locks the device for a cover teacher, then proceeds to use their laptop it causes sync issues.

 

This is linked to the fact that our teachers love using sticky notes or anything that is linked within the appdata folder. Do you redirect the appdata folder? Do they work across multiple devices?

Unfortunately not.. Turns out the sync error this time was just that the Outlook archive.. thing.. wasn't synching across. Which is fine, because she doesn't use Outlook on the tablet. But no, we never got anywhere. Seems Offline file sync is just a fickle thing.
