Theldron Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Hi all, Over the last week we have been getting internet loss. I have contacted SWGFL and it seems we are getting upload spikes that is knocking the internet out and I have to restart the router to get it back. I have checked anti-virus and everything seems fine, how would I go about finding where the spike is coming from? Cheers Sean
SchoolsBroadband Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 you could snmp monitor each switch port on your network or put a router inbetween your LAN and SWGFL connection. Something like a Draytek has a function called Data Flow monitor that allows you to see which client is eating up all of your bandwidth and then apply QOS to them if required. Thanks Dave
Jose Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 do you have any macs that have not been patched since Jan
Theldron Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Hi, thanks but I used wireshark and found the issue was with one of our PCs. I restarted the PC and switch it was connected to and it has been fine since. Very strange. But thanks for help. Sean
