SQL 2014 Trial period?

Having to upgrade the SIMS database from 2008 lite and was going to purchase a 4 core SQL 2014 license for the upgrade... The issue is that I'm 3 months away from renewal in June. If I add my first SQL licence now I'll have to stump up the full years cost and in June do it again!

 

Can I install SQL 2014 without a license and have it run in some kind of trial mode for 90 days? Then plop a key in later? If I was late with the key would SIMS stop!
