karldenton Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 In our main school we have the usual Cat5e wiring back to the patch panels. We then seperate it to different switches. Most are on the main switches but the VoIP phones are on the VoIP switch. This goes out through a separate broadband. In another building we have a patch panel and switch. The switch is connected to the main one via Fibre. I don't suppose that we can split it once it gets back to the main cab can we ? I don't think we can In case your wondering its for the Nooks that can't access the internet via a proxy
robk Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Sounds like you want vlans on the fibre link to achieve this.
