NJH7 Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Morning everyone, This is a strange one - One user is having some difficulty logging on, whereas others (In the same OU etc, even tried same desktop) are logging in quickly. With the user, it hangs on Applying Folder Redirection Policy for about a minute or more, whereas everyone elses hangs for maybe a second or two max. We are running windows server 2012. Thanks, Nick
BKGarry Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Does the user have Offline files enabled. We had this issue initially here and solved it with KB2525332 be aware, it does take forever to run if the PC has been in use with offline files, it is dirt quick after a fresh image though. Maybe worth giving that a shot

Maybe worth giving that a shot Hey Garry, Prevent use of Offline Files folder is enabled. Any others without re-imaging it? Thanks, Nick
BKGarry Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Does the user have a roaming profile? - - - Updated - - - Also, are there anything about folder redirection in the event logs?
NJH7 Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Does the user have a roaming profile? - - - Updated - - - Also, are there anything about folder redirection in the event logs? Yeah they all have roaming profiles. I'll have to check.
BKGarry Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 If the issues follows the user to other machines I would reset their profile, as it sounds like there could be an issue within the setting held there.

tmoon-mint Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Are your desktops redirected? I had a problem similar to this and it was because I had left a tick box in stating that the contents of the users local desktop should be copied to the server. Since users dont have the ability to write to their desktops this caused it to hang on "Applying folder redirection policy" Might be worth checking.
