How to remove an IP route from a HP 5412zl switch?

I've been fiddling with our core switch, trying to work out VLANs, and I've may have configured something on our HP 5412zl switch that could cause trouble. I ran the command 'IP route 172.16.0.0/24 10.103.163.1' to set up a route but received a message along the lines of '10.103.163.1 can not be switch IP address and route gateway at the same time'

 

I assumed this had failed to configure, but looking at the switch web interface in the configuration report, I can see it is set up. If I try to remove the route with the command 'no IP route 172.16.0.0/24 10.103.163.1' I get the same message as above, but the route isn't removed. Any ideas how to get rid or if this might cause issues if it can't be removed?

 

FYI the core switch has the IP address of 10.103.163.1 on the default VLAN and I'm trying to set up a second VLAN for BYOD wifi devices using our Ruckus setup. The core switch has an IP for the second VLAN of 172.16.0.1

Did you save the changes? If not, just reboot the switch (assuming the old config was saved).

If your getting the run around using the CLI just download the whole config file via TFTP (or maybe the web interface) make you changes and upload again, this will however involve a reboot of the switch.

Hmm... I think I did save the changes... Looks like a reboot is necessary either way, unless there are other options anyone can suggest.
