vikpaw Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Another time we had an issue, it was because the password i'd given the groupcall account in SQL had expired, but for SIMS, they probably connect a different way. If SIMS has been upgraded, you need to make sure you run the client on the box/pc/server that runs xporter as it will use the sims client possibly. Your experience may vary, but i usually log a ticket by emailing them then they call back, with the advantage they are usually ready to remote in, whereas if i call they just record the issue and say they'll get back to me. But, you do have to put up with the horrible horrible auto reply email from their helpdesk.
ITGuyNW Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 IT WORKS. It was an outdated connect.ini file that hadn't been replaced after the recent SIMS upgrade! Thanks!!
SteveM555 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 If anyone doesn't mind sharing, what's a rough figure for a single Xporter license? hundreds, thousands? We already have Emerge and I've seen that runs with Xporter...

Grr - that's what we're here for If anyone doesn't mind sharing, what's a rough figure for a single Xporter license? hundreds, thousands? We already have Emerge and I've seen that runs with Xporter... It should usually be included by who/whatever the system is that you're linking to. Had it in lots of disguises from various people. If you have Emerge, they can just add another job to your existing Xporter to sync data to another provider, but it's the provider / your fees to them that will cover the cost. Bear in mind how cheap some services are that use this system, i wouldn't imagine it's that dear (probably hundreds) if you wanted a standalone license for a custom use. Not sure what you'd want it for. Ask @GREED
GREED Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Happy to talk on this. PM me. Interested to know your requirement as, as Vik says, if you want to connect to a third party, you pay for it through them as part of your purchase. It is not something that needs to be purchased separately. Unless you want to be doing something ah hoc. I work for Groupcall incase that wasn't obvious already!!
