SIMS Student Reports.

Hi all, I'm doing some testing's on SIMS, does anyone know how to do a individual student report for a registration group?

Where the teacher can right can short report about how well a student is progressing etc?

I've tried looking for it but cannot find it anywhere.

Yep. Create a marksheet template in Assessment manager with a comment column (you might need to create one in the aspects area). Assign the template to the pastoral overview, or reg group classes if you timetable them, this will create marksheets for the reg tutors.

Tutors fill in the marksheet, a comment column can hold 1000 chars.

You can then create an individual report to pull in those comments.

Takes some setup, but is easy enough.

Add a column for data entry. As vikpaw says you will need an aspect setup for a comment. We do basic comments for termly reports so we have a single comment aspect linked to termly result sets.

I've managed to do that part now and have created the aspect, however, when I'm running the create template columns, it's asking for aspect but I do not know what to put?

Open up that tree on the left. You should be able to find the aspect you've created.

You really need to go through the manual, or get someone to show you as this can very quickly go awry if setup wrong.

Who is the SIMS manager at your place? Can you get access to a support company?
