Sanyo PLC-XE40 White display only

My projector bulb powers up ok but no sanyo or other logo is displayed, the screen display starts initially yellow then goes to a bright healthy white. However thats all it does, i have tried connecting pc's on both 1 and 2 connections and a video source to the video phone but nothing gets displayed, just total white screen.. but i think its worse than that as i cant even get any menu displayed on screen.?? any ideas

 

I did find the service manual online and for no picture with any sources it states:

 

Check signal processing stage and LCD driving stage;

Check RGB S&H signals at test points TPB1, TPG1, TPR1.

Check power supply circuit 15.5V and peripheral circuit.

Check ICs IC501, IC531, IC561, IC401, IC301 and peripheral circuits

check the ribbon cables, i had two do this. turned out the ribbon cables had come loose
