Am I the only one that actually supports military action? Let's face it the only reason why we were so peed at the Iraq "War" was the lies of Weapons of Mass Destruction which didn't exist.

 

Back to ISIS though, until they start claiming OIL I presume we wont make a move? I get the feeling the general public don't mind doing the right thing for the right reasons.

I'm most concerned about whether or not they will be tasked with influencing opinion in this country or not. For instance, drumming up the case for and support for certain war campaigns across social networks to suit political agendas. It would certainly be in the armed forces best interests to do this as the greater the likelihood of war the stronger the case they can make for increased funding...

That's perhaps too simplistic a view, the problem is ISIS have been very adept at using social media and people in countries within the ISIS sphere of influence are basically exposed to ISIS propaganda non-stop, eventually it will start to soak in and support for ISIS will grow unless there is some counter to this. The West has conducted psy-ops for a long long time it's just they haven't engaged in social media psy-ops on this scale so far.
