Unable to open files with APLC attribute

We have moved some files onto a new 2012 R2 Server but I've got some issues when trying to open certain files. Basically the only difference I can see is that the files that we cannot open have the PL attribute assigned to them. They have been copied over from a Server 2003 box with permissions etc and for the most they seem to be working. The server has dedup enabled but other than that nothing else has been set. The file opens fine from the previous server so it must be something that is happening on the new server.

 

Is there something I can reset on these files?

If I run fsutil on the file which I am having problems with I can see in the File Attribute it has a value of 0xe20 which I'm not sure what that stands for. Is there anyway to reset this value? If I try using the attrib command I can't seem to find the attribute which is set to remove it. The P & L seem to be for sparse or reparse files, but I'm not sure how to reset this at all or if it is possible.

 

Edit: I'm not sure the file attributes of P & L are the problem as some files I can open OK.

 

Edit 2: Just realised the value stands for ARCHIVE,SPARSE_FILE,REPARSE_POINT, COMPRESSED which is what I can already see.
