loustarrrr Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Hi, I have been asked to look into using Forefront TMG 2010 as a Single Sign On solution and speak to other schools in Birmingham who have a SSO solution in place. What I am looking for is a demo of how the system works. I have set-up TMG in a test environment and got SSO working without any issues but I have also been asked to see it working in a school. Is there anyone willing to show me their set-up in the Birmingham area? Thanks, Louis
kearton Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Just in case you weren't aware, TMG is now EOL.
plexer Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Microsoft will continue to provide mainstream support for TMG until April 14, 2015, and extended support until April 14, 2020. The Forefront TMG 2010 Web Protection Services (WPS) will be discontinued on December 31, 2015. Beginning on January 1, 2016, Web Protection Services (URL filtering, virus/malicious software scanning, and Network Inspection System) will continue to function but will no longer receive updates. Ben
loustarrrr Posted February 3, 2015 Author Posted February 3, 2015 Hi, I was aware of that yes, but knew about the extended support. We will only be using the Reverse Proxy functions for Single Sign On, and I know that Web Application Proxy in Server 2012 R2 is a replacement of this feature but an upgrade to 2012R2 may not be in our budget. All I really need to see is to see a SSO solution in use at a school. Thanks, Louis
