The free National College online training is now provided by the NSPCC and costs £30. Unlike the free version which lasted 5 years, there is no expiry for this training.

In all schools (maintained, free, academy and independent), when recruiting a new member of staff, at least one person involved through the whole process must have this training.

It is worth doing it if you are employed by a school, or a school governor, simply to understand what the rules and restrictions are that schools must comply with and why.
