R06 Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Hello all, so our Macbook (Mavericks) users are non-admins, and would like to change the proxy setting when they are at home. I know preference files aren't easily editable any more. Any ideas how this can be achieved? Thanks.
BKGarry Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 In the network section of system preferences, you can setup locations (as an admin) one with the settings you want for school, such a proxies etc and one without them for home. The user should them be able to select the necessary ones without admin rights. IIRC you can even put in certain conditions for it to automatically switch between home and school but I cannot remember exactly how to do it.
