Flash and Java Content for Pupils

Hello

 

I am not sure what I may have done to cause this error but for some reason when the students log in there appears to problems displaying certain pages such as Dropbox or Kerboodle content. Everything is working fine for staff logons.

 

I am assuming it must be Flash or Java related somehow.

 

Has anybody seen or heard of this?

Do staff have less restrictive internet settings than pupils? I found in the past that if you set security settings too high then it prevents things like flash and java from running. I had a school I spent weeks trying to figure out why any site like YouTube or iPlayer that uses Flash to play videos wasn't working. A colleague came in and within 10 minutes had lowered the security settings in the Internet Explorer control panel item in Group Policy and suddenly it all started working.

I don't have security settings applied in that way all I can see in Group Policy regards IE9 for all the computers is a policy referring to Compatibility View-Use list of Internet Explorer 7 sites and Internet Control Panel-Security Page-Site to zone assignment list

 

As far as I know these have always been in place.

 

The only other change I made a little while ago was to roll back from IE10 to 9 on the server to enable some proxy configuration options in group policy but I've put it back to version 10 now.
