No right click for Zipping

Hi, our students have the right click function disabled by GP

 

A teacher now wants them to be able to send folders of work to "Compressed (zipped) folder" so that they can be emailed to her.

 

Unfortunately due to the restriction they obviously cannot right click on their chosen folder.

 

Does anybody know of a way around this that will not require me giving them the right click back?

You could install 7zip or another zipping application that has a GUI to do it that way. Or you could get the pupils to save the work on a shared drive that staff also have access to. Or you could give staff access to read from the Pupil home drives (we've just set it up as a mapped drive for staff and seems to work well).

Navigate to chosen folder location in Explorer, press ALT where the legacy menu will appear, go to File > Send To > Compressed Folder. (assuming Windows 7) - also have right click disabled for students here but that method works.

Just give them right click it's pointless to restrict it and causes more trouble than it may solve.
