Saved Files Time Delay

I am posting this query here as our file server is 2003.

 

The problem is only affecting one user and at first I thought perhaps they were making an error, but having tested and seen for myself I do not think this is the case.

 

Sometimes when the user saves a file (PowerPoint mostly) it will not immediately appear in their documents. For example if they go to attach it to an e-mail or even search for it in their documents. I even tested this by arranging their files in date order.

 

But then give it until later in the day or even the next morning and there it is.

 

Has anybody seen or heard of this before?
