Television program Mythbusters will take a look at the Doom franchise this weekend, to see if it's actually possible to carry all the in-game items available to the player. Could be like watching a game of buckaroo! The episode airs January 31st on Discovery.

That seems like an odd one for them to do, they usually only cover things people actually believe is true - does anyone believe that a human being is able to carry the kind of arsenal you can in Doom unaided?
featured_spectre Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 The original Doom only allowed for a Pistol + 1 heavy weapon. So yeah its feasible, its just the dynamics and weights of the gun. The BFG for example was a monster and that took around 10 shots to wipe out the final boss (if I remember rightly)....

Dunno about that they seem to cover lot's of unrelated stuff these days like is it really possibly to flip a car like in the movies, well yes it is if you use the movie techniques which they know anyway.
