brit0112 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 When not in use for a while there are red crosses over the drives in our environment. The drives become active immediately, but as we are a school the students aged 6-9 become confused and think the wireless connection is lost (sometimes teachers too). Does anyone know a solution to disable this function?
Michael Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I notice this behaviour too, but it's only occasionally it happens - typically after a server restart, but then again you'd expect that!
MatthewL Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 How are you mapping your drives, batch file, vb script, group policy preferences?
glen_j Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Its normal behaviour for windows since vista. I think there is a way of disabling it via registry key. Something to do with reducing network and server load.
