GAPPS Automatic folder share with a new user

We have a folder that is shared to a distribution group in GAPPS, however when a new user gets added to that group the folder isn't automatically shared with them - is there a better way of doing this ? I'd just like to create a new user that has all the resources available to them in Google drive, the same problem occurs with calendars too, I have to send an email with all the shared calendar links on it every time..

You can't use Distribution groups, it should be a Security Group/Level. Hope this helps.

Could you please explain what you mean as i think DavetheITguy's issue is quite common (I have it, anyway) and I don't know what "Security Group/Level" means in GAFE.
