ChrisH Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 I just had this handed to me last minute........ Most of you probably dealt with this a few months ago but for any that havent: 1. Copy contents to a shared folder. 2. Go into the directory called root and run manager.exe and enter the registration details. 3. Copy the contents of the folder called root into the main folder. 4. Adjust the permissions on the KudosUserData folder so they can save their session. Enjoy
plexer Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Hi Chris, Just a point on your point 4 you don't need to adjust permissions on the installed directory if you set this to their h:\ or whatever drive letter you have assigned to their home folder. Cheers, Ben
mullet_man Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 I recently installed this, it didn't like running over some of our slower laptops (802.11b).

plexer Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Ok Chris fair enough I'd rather not change the security permissions on the shared folder to allow students to be able to write to it. Others may want to go either way so now they have the choice. Running any sort of multimedia or kudos type programs which I know isn't heavy on the multimedia is going to problematic on slower wireless networks. Ben
ChrisH Posted January 5, 2006 Author Posted January 5, 2006 Im not changing permissions on the whole folder just the data folder .
