ChrisH Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I have been experimenting with Office 365 groups for staff collaboration in departments etc and all was going well until I started experimenting with files. I can create files and folders easy enough but I can't delete them, it seems all the options you get under the main One Drive documents are not there, is this normal?
JRowley Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 (edited) Honestly I didn't believe this could be true until I tried it for myself. I can confirm that I too cannot delete any files or folders despite being the Group Admin. I'm surprised to be honest, I would have thought it was a bug but it seems more like an oversight. Edit: Ok I figured it out, for some reason they decided not to add any interface for this, but if you select a file or folder you can hit the delete key and it will ask you if you wish to delete it, selecting OK will then remove the file. I feel really stupid for not trying it sooner, but everything else on the site is interface driven... Edited January 13, 2015 by JRowley 1
ChrisH Posted January 13, 2015 Author Posted January 13, 2015 Thanks, at least you thought of it eventually though unlike me but tbh you do expect an interface option and maybe the use of the keyboard as a bonus!
