cragos1984 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Hi Intruiging little issue has popped up since we came back from the christmas "Break" wondered if anyone could offer an insight. We are having an issue when students log on where logon gets stuck from anything of a minute up to 15 when the verbose stage on screen is please wait for User profile service. Now this issue only happens for the students and is only really from 11.30am untill 12 but has happened every day. There are no scheduled tasks running that could effect this and no policy kicks in at a specific time. There are also no significant messages in the event viewer of any of the 3 DCs. Scratching my head a bit and so are the other guys. Anyone got any ideas or a route we could look down? bit stuck to be fair Thanks
Grey-gear Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I would start looking at the event log of a computer that has done the anomaly and also check the event logs of the 3 DC to see if any clues can be taken from them.
agibson Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Have you got KB2775511 installed (and any subsequent updates to this)? This is both a client and server hotfix.
cragos1984 Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 Thanks for the advice guys but think we have sorted it. During the holiday we had tried moving the server that holds the profiles onto an additional SAN but had an error. We have moved the profiles to a different disk now and everything seems to be working fine. Fingers crossed
cooka Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Do you have a generic user profile? or do the students have their own profiles / login? Sounds like the the user profile is corrupting. Have you tried deleting this from user folder and re-logging in?
