steven_layton_sl Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Is it possible to sign into Windows 8.1 with an Office 365 (Business/Education) account? I have tried and failed to do so. A search of Microsoft Forums seems to say that it is not possible, but the forum post was back in 2013 and I'm hoping that there may be a magic setting somewhere in the Admin Console that will allow us to do so. Basically, we have a number of Windows 8.1 HP Streams that we're trying out, and I'd like staff to be able to use their College accounts and not bother having to use (or create) a personal one.
TheScarfedOne Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Sadly, not possible...yet. It was supposed to be, but was pulled at the last minute. At the moment, everything is pointing to it working in Windows 10 with Azure AD (aka Office 365 auth)
gshaw Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 (edited) Nope, one of the biggest fails when trying to provision and manage Windows 8 tablets (and phones) at present. One of the Microsoft employees let slip that Azure AD sign in is going to be part of Windows 10 so looking promising on that front at least. Edited January 7, 2015 by gshaw
