I'm so glad I don't have a missus to answer to. GAMER 4 LYFE!

I don't have a missus either... but I did get told off when I said I wanted to buy a "new 3ds" [dumb name] last night. [i wanted an XL... but the faceplates are cool.]

Also: "a 3ds xl may be bigger than a 3ds, but it isn't as big as the Wii U screen" is a dumb statement.

I bought the 3DS XL Animal crossing specials edition. It's white with leaves and stuff on it. Pretty snazzy. Had it about a year now. If you want one and can afford one... get one... #YOLO :-p

No... The "New 3DS". That's what it's called.

Upgraded GPU, inbuilt Amiibo reader, light sensing brightness controls, better 3D... Like DSi, but for 3DS.

Kisekae covers.

Check out the covers. Pretty cool, eh. [Don't worry about it being in Japanese... Look at the pictures.]

Awesome! Yeah when I bought it, they released the 2DS shortly after... I was kinda gutted because I have the 3D turned off all the time!

Japanese websites are mental... with those ladies popping up and down every 2 minutes! Hahaha! I like the black boo cover. Totes awesomeballs.

I like the back of the Tom Nook twins one. And the wood effect Mario one.

But mostly... I like the fact that there's going to be some sweet unofficial 3rd party ones. :p

The Mario and Luigi mustache ones are pretty cool too...

I think I just have a regular ol' 3DS XL. But I pretty much always have the 3D turned off too. Framerate really starts to plummet if it's on. It's sometimes helpful for Super Mario 3D Land, though, but I only switch it on every now and again for a few seconds.. Just to check. Then it goes off again.

I might have a pokemon sticker set on its way :D

I bought a 'fat' Vita a couple of years ago. Had it for a few months, then traded for a 3DS XL. Had that for a year, 6 months of which it never left the case, then I bought a PS4 so I traded in the 3DS and got a 'slim' Vita to make the most of the free PS+ games.

So I've sort of become a Sony fanboi by accident! I love Nintendo's first party library, but I just found there weren't many games I was bothered about playing on 3DS. Same goes for Vita really, but having regular freebies means I use it quite a lot.

I think, if you have the PS4 left on at home and signed into PSN, you can remotely play PS4 games over the Internet.

(You won't get ANY work done if that's the case!)

I believe you're correct, however I haven't tried it yet - do use remote play at home though. It's good for certain games, but one thing I didn't think of when I bought the Vita is it only has single shoulder buttons. It emulates L2/R2 with the rear touch screen, but it's bloody awful to use for most games. Some titles actually remap the most important buttons to limit the amount you need the rear touch (Wolfenstein for example remaps aim/fire to the shoulder buttons rather than emulated L2/R2). I found Last of Us unplayable because of this as it doesn't remap, so aiming and firing becomes an awful fumble.

Personally, I think Sony missed a huge opportunity with the new Vita. The micro-USB charger rather than proprietary is a big improvement, but I found the original easier to handle because of it's thickness. They should have added in an SD card slot (I know they're still tying to make a fortune out of Vita proprietary cards but who buys them?) and actual shoulder buttons. Would have made it the perfect hand held for PS4 owners. The screen is fine though, I know side-by-side you can see the OLED's superiority, but day-to-day use I don't notice a difference TBH.

As you can see, some of us gals like playing games too... :)

The best kind of gal. :D

My partner doesn't mind me gaming, but we don't get to see each other too much because of work/distance/her daughter, so I don't do any when I'm with her.

Recently I've been completely engrossed in PAYDAY to the point that I don't even notice she's messaged me.. WHOOPS! O=)

Gals? Games? WHATS HAPPENING!

Haha. As i remember, there's many more female gamers than male ???

Kind of makes gaming interesting. *gets killed by fps player* *says a foul word* *female voice says thats not very good language* *becomes jesus and speaks 10x as polite*

My missus isn't the problem... my mortgage is. :ballchain:

I did spend half an hour last night pricing up how much a refresh of CPU + mobo + RAM (+ bigger SSD, + new case...) would be, so I can save up for when Skylake launches... might just about be able to scrape together the £600 in a year. All I need is for nothing at all go to go wrong this year - no broken boilers or cars or pets - and I'll be fine.

Only if you count Farmville, Candy Crush et al.

Bah! They're not games.

For me games are where i can whack a zombie around the head with a baseball bat, or hide from a cannibalistic tribe, or send a team out to destroy aliens, or rob banks, or find out that the cake is a lie, or play as a goat, or have some woman demanding i catch things she throws at me etc, etc

:p

They are however the "games" used in the studies that are responsible... Usually parroted by someone with an ideological agenda to push and a patreon to fund.

Oh one point from my build - at the end of it I thought 'wish I had just got this from a supplier who would build it for me' - I bought a fancy cooler but ended up going back to the stock Intel one as the fancy one wouldn't line up properly with the mounting holes and found it very hard to manage all the cables in the end!
