Alkaline Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Hi, Does anyone know if you can turn off the wireless on the PS4 completely so its not sending out a wireless signal? Thank-you
fairm010 Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Seconded... Why would you want to do this? I am sure there is nothing untoward about leaving it on.
Alkaline Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 Long story but its being used in a Faraday cage/room for an experiment and if the wireless cannot be disabled another console will have to be found which allows the wireless to be switched off. It seems it not possible to do anything to the actual wireless card as its not detacable.
Arthur Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Could you wrap the console in aluminium foil?
Alkaline Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 Apparently there will be "leakage" with that. I think be will have to use a 360 instead. You would think they would add an option.

If you're not connected to wireless it probably stops checking (or at least certainly not as frequently) until you ask it to. Must it be a next-gen console? Can you not lug a PS1 in there or something? Hammer? The solution to any and all problems.
