wifi issues with a Dell XPS 15. I purchased a Dell XPS 15 and it works fine but I am having some wifi range issues. My old dell Inspiron died 3 weeks ago and it would pick up our router wifi signal 50 feet away in the garage no problem and worked awesome at my workdesk. My new XPS just barely picks up the router signal but shows it as too weak and wont connect so in my garage I am screwed but this where my work occurs so I need it to work out here. I had zero wifi issues with my Inspiron which range wasnt an issue. My wireless printer sits 4 feet closer to the house than my XPS and my printer picks up wifi off the router no problem. This new xps has a range issue or lacks performance to work with the router signal, my inspiron never gave issues.

Can you advise me what things could help improve this issue. Others talked about driver updates, Im not a computer wiz but any advice would be helpful. I was thinking of buying a range extender but if some tweaks on this computer fix the issues I would rather do that. I bought the xps last year but held off putting it to work as I so loved my inspiron. I struggled to get off that thing but I knew it was a matter of time till it gave me issues as it worked its butt off for 7 hard years. The xps I pulled out of the closet only to find I cant get good wifi signal. If I move to within 15 feet of the house I get wifi signal. Nothing with the router has changed, the router remains in the same spot as always, no new obsacles are blocking the router, all is the same, its just this xps wireless effort is weak.

Any advice please is appreciated.
