Kernel Power- DC keeps going down!

Hey,

 

We recently (past 3 months) started having major problems with our main DC. It keeps restarting without any reason! On the event log I get kernel power error. I have attached a picture. After the first time this happened, I read about some forums and people said it's the power supply- we replaced that and the problem still persisted. Any ideas where the problem might be?

worth a look: Windows Kernel event ID 41 error "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" in Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 R2

ensuring it's running off a UPS and memory check would be high on my list. I would doubt it but is there a memory checkdump .dmp?

What is basically happening is Windows is getting sucker punched and knocked out cold; it has no idea what caused the fault and all it can tell you is that it blacked out. This kind of problem is typically indicative of a low level hardware problem and can range from something as simple as faulty power (are you using a UPS and is it good?) to a bum motherboard or other component. We need more details to help any further though. What model and spec is the DC running on?

 

Bad memory could cause this, but I hope you're running your domain controller on real server hardware. The memory should be buffered ECC and if a DIMM were to fail the system could sidestep it without bring the entire box down.

The DC is connected to a brand new UPS bought a few months ago. It is running on physical hardware- I will try running memory checks on it.
