Shadow Copy Restore / NTBackup Restore Failure

Hello.

 

On Friday a file was deleted. I tried to restore it with the Shadow Copy and it appeared to 'copy' everything back to how the folder looked on Friday. However, loads of files have gone missing. Is there a way to 'undo' the restore because now where I go to previous versions its empty.

 

So I got to the Backup that was taken Friday night and when I try to restore using NTBackup I get the following error 'the backup file contains unrecognized data and cannot be used'

 

Any ideas? Got loads of files I no longer have access to.

you could try going to the properties of the parent folder and browsing the previous versions.

Tried. There are no previous versions to restore to.
