Windows 8.1 tablets on a RM Network

Hi guys,

 

I am looking at purchasing some windows 8 tablets to provide a balance/choice against the ipads we currently use,

 

I am looking at the linx devices which are cheap but have a low spec, or the iconia's which have a higher spec and therefore a higher price point,

 

The tricky bit is getting them to work with our RM network, the question is this:

 

Can I get a Iconia/linx to work out of the box with our RM Network so that the students can login and see their user area's etc, or do I need to completely rebuild them?

 

RM have not been too helpful on this one!

Do you have any Windows 8 devices at the moment?

Have to obviously have the ADMX stuff to get windows 8.1 working correctly, and there is an update available via RM which will create all the .v4 profiles that are needed for users to logon with. Without the .v4 profiles can get corrupt as MS doesnt recommend moving between two OS's (7 and 8.1) without use of separate profiles. RM CC4UPD148 is the one you want for that.
